June to Sept 2015 (Trip miles 697, Total miles 9164)

Although this has been an amazing leg of the trip with tons I'd like to ramble on about, I'm going to spare you that and let the following photos do most of the talking. This leg was basically from the SE most part of the Athenian peninsula, making our way back and forth both east and west and predominantly from north to south through the Cyclades, various islands in the eastern Sporades and Dodecanese, eventually making landfall in Turgutreis, Turkey and heading south for a winter lay-up in Marmaris..... to be continued 2016

The TwilightZone or what?, On a warm practically windless day when departing Amorgos, there was a total whiteout for 4 hours while we cruised towards Kinaros to search for a wreck we had heard about.

Superbly lucky, to have a break in the Northerly "Meltemi" we begin our search for the mystery wreck we had heard about on Ios.

Mostly only accessible by small craft, the weather break and perfect conditions, let us get right close to the wreck, for some snorkelling.

The cargo vessel Manina 3, ran aground in a storm, with no lives lost and it is just about intact, the hull lies in around 45m of water.

The Manina 3, rumours suggest the vessel was carrying illicit goods as supposedly was the Olympia, some of which are still inside.

Mooring, Turkish backwoods style, still not decided on whether the dock was keeping the boats in place or vice-versa.

How shall we ever find ourselves unless we have first become truly lost?
